Time travel to the magical island of Hydra in the 60s where love and music reigned supreme. Words of Love, a doco from Nick Broomfield, charts the relationship between Leonard Cohen and his "muse", Marianne Ihlen – a Norwegian transplant who inspired a slew of Cohen's inimitable songs. 

Like real love, it's not straightforward. But this glimpse into their world and the counterculture of the era makes for a compelling watch. 

Years later, before her passing, Marianne received the following note from Cohen. Perhaps proof that a connection can run deeper than the human experience lets on...
